Ordering from Digital Photos on Canvas is as easy as one, two , three.

Start with your photo. Order the size canvas photo you want then choose any additional options like painterly effect or gel brushstrokes. Next upload your digital photo. If you do not have a digital photo you can scan it yourself or send it to us to scan it for you.
We then take your image and size it to what you ordered. That means we resize it to 300 dpi if it is not already that size, then we crop it according to the size you ordered. We then print your image on canvas with Epson pigmented inks and let your canvas photo print cure for 24 hours to ensure your canvas print quality. We then apply the first coat of clear protective varnish, this is to protect your canvas photo from water damage, abrassion and helps to protect against harmful UV light. After the first coat of varnish has dried and cured we then apply the second on final coat of canvas photo varnish. When that layer has dried and cured we then stretch the canvas over the stretcher bars. Next we carefully package your photo canvas in between multiple layers of cardboard to prevent the canvas from being punctured during delivery.
Turnaround
The standard turnaround is 4-6 days then however long the shipping courier takes. That is for an order with no artwork (painterly effect, image manipulation or collage.) It is best to let the print “cure” for 24 hours after printing and “cure” for an additional 24 hours after the clear protective varnish is applied. That is why it takes a minimum of two days for a rush job. If you want painterly effect add two days to ensure best results. If you want a collage add one day for best possible results. If you want gel brush stroke add two days to allow acrylic gel to dry and cure. If you want any image enhancement or manipulation it varies on the amount of work from 2 extra days to 7 extra days.
Cropping
We generally print our canvas’s standard photographic sizes. Different cameras take different proportional photos. For example a 35mm camera takes pictures proportional to a 4x6, 8x12, 12x18 and 20x30 print but the negative is not proportional to an 8x10, 11x14, or 16x20. We do our best to crop the image the way we think would look best. Our designers have years of experience in the photo industry and have very good judgement in cropping images. If you need a specific crop, then crop the image to the size you want prior to sending the image. Also remember, if you choose decorative wrap two inchs of each side will be wrapped around the stretcher bars.
Scanning Tips
Use a flatbed scanner and scan image at the size you want it printed at 300dpi. Save image as jpeg in RGB color space.
