The decorative canvas wrap is where the image actually wraps around the sides of the stretcher bars. This is by far our most popular option. The decorative canvas wrap has 1.5 inches of the image visible on the sides of the stretched canvas photo.
The great thing about printing on canvas is that it allows to have an option like a decorative wrap. Canvas is a flexible, strong and is unlike any other printable medium.
Gallery Wrap Photo Canvas
Gallery wrap is a term used to define any canvas that is stretched and is stapled on the back instead of on the side. We have two types of gallery wrap. The most popular is decorative wrap.
Museum wrap is the other gallery wrap option. Museum wrap still wraps around the stretcher bars but the image is only visible from the front, there is no printing where the canvas is stretched around the sides.

Decorative canvas photo wrap has a profile that is 1.5" thick. Remember the smaller the size you order the larger the percentage of the image you lose to being wrapped around the sides. That means no matter what size you order 11x14 or 36x48 you lose 1.5" inches of the image around each side. A 11x14 that is a large percentage of the image is wrapped around, a 36x48 it is a small percentage.
This is the profile of the .75 inch deep stretcher bar. This bar can be used for decorative wrap or museum wrap. It has a higher tendency to warp on larger sizes. This stretcher bar is available upon request, just ask for the .75 deep stretcher bar in the special instruction area where you enter your credit card information and we will use this instead of our standard 1.5" deep stretcher. This is the best option besides having the canvas mounted on masonite if you plan to later frame your canvas. The 1.5" deep stretchers do not fit as well into frames.
This is the profile of our 1.5" deep stretcher bar. This is the most common stretcher bar that we use for photos on canvas stretcher bars. It looks great on the wall without putting you photo canvas in a frame.
